Fedora is taken from Redhat which is yet another source taken from Debian and naturally had to have a listing within our Directory. Fedora is a very user friendly Linux in my opinion and serve many very well if you are first time use. And if you which to learn about this software I would suggest you Fedora bible written by Christopher Negus who writes very good books in fact buy his collection and never place a price on anything you want to learn as education is invaluable

The PC Repairs have always loved Fedora as it very user friendly. It was originally known as Redhat but later was changed for various reason ownership etc. The PC Repairs have found it to install well and work well on old PCs as well as new ones. When you find yourself wanting to try this on an old pc its is best to see if you can download an old distro such as very version 6 or seven, this will work much better on an old 486 the new one will not work at all unless you wish to work in terminal mode.
