We recently had a customer who had worked for over six months but had never backed anything up and had been working this way successfully for a long period of time until the unexpected happen. I personally visited the client and removed their hard drive from their Computer and was able to check everything over at my workshop and fortunately the hard drive electronics had not gone.
This naturally simplified my work but naturally the job was equally as important of the circumstances were more serious.
My first action was to do a complete backup of the drive onto another hard drive and for extra security I did an additional backup to a blue ray disk.
Once I had checked my backups and was confident they were secure my work began. Using various debugging techniques I was able to recovery the lost data with 100% satisfaction for my client we then installed a blue ray drive and I should my customer how to make backups and reduce such ugly catastrophe’s happening again
